Recommended type of dive: Shore, Boat and Kayak

How to dive this site: There are two dives possible at this site. "The Wall" is accessible and recommended as a shore, boat, or kayak dive. "The Wall" is located to the right as you stand on the beach looking south. The shallow bay in front of you is mostly sandy bottom covered with eelgrass and a depth of 10 - 15'. The sand steps and slopes downward as it meets the wall lying just under the rock point to the right. If shore diving, surface swim out past the white clubhouse until reaching the kelp bed. Keeping this kelp bed and the rocks to your right, descend down to 25 - 30' where you will meet a gravel bottom. Use of a dive float with flag and line is advised for this initial descent. Once at the bottom, keep following the wall down to a depth at which you are comfortable. The wall bottoms out at a depth of 85 - 95' depending on the tide height. Plan the length of your dive conservatively as the return swim may be strenuous. If doing a boat or kayak dive, you may travel southwest at a comfortable depth until ascending and making a rendevous with your vessel. Kayaks may be launched at the beach south of Cabana Way.

The second dive possible is best as a shore dive being that it is so close to the shore. Surface swim from the shallow bay in front of you to the southeast until reaching the point to your left. Descend down in 15' of water and continue heading southeast until reaching a comfortable depth. At 60 - 80' are unbelievable amounts of pectin and weathervane (rock) scallops. Plan to turn around halfway through your dive and head up to 20 - 40' where you will find wood, cement, bottles and old pilings littering the bottom. Take a course west back towards the bay, which you started in.
