Learn to Dive!

Your lifelong enjoyment in recreational SCUBA diving begins with a solid grounding in dive knowledge, skills development, initial open water experience and the right equipment. The staff at WIDC is dedicated to ensuring that your overall experience in obtaining that certification is enjoyable and comprehensive. Dive classes are conducted every month. The standard course is conducted two nights each week for three weeks and finishes with two days of diving on the weekend of the third week. (If this schedule doesn't meet your needs, give us a call - we can customize a schedule that meets yours.) Check the News and Events page for the current schedule. Stop by the shop or give us a call. In as little as three weeks from now you could be a Certified Open Water Diver!

Open Water Diver - Just the Beginning

Becoming an Open Water Diver is the start to your amazing journey into the underwater world. After you've completed a few dives we encourage you to increase your diving expertise by enrolling in the Advanced Open Water Diver program. You select your four dive specialties from our extensive course list, complete the class work, pool sessions, and open water dives - and before you know it you'll be a certified Advanced Open Water Diver! Add Diver Stress & Rescue to your specialties and a few more dives and you'll be a Master Open Water Diver - a designation that clearly announces you are serious about the sport!

Dive Professional - The Next Step

After becoming a Master Diver a few people pursue a career in the dive industry by becoming a Dive Professional. If you believe you have the right stuff to become a Dive Leader we want to talk to you. Dive Leadership programs within Scuba Schools International include Dive Guide, Dive Master, Dive Control Specialist and then Dive Instructor. With the WIDC Staff you can progress locally all the way to Dive Control Specialist.

Still not Sure? - Join us for Splash Night

If you're still not sure SCUBA diving is for you - and you want to find out, join us for a night in the pool to Try Scuba. You'll learn the basics of diving with one of our great staff members including gearing up and going underwater to see a class in session. And when you make the decision to take the full course, your Try Scuba fee can apply to the cost of the full course!
